I was on the phone with Novell Groupwise tech support (first time for me in 15 years of GW) and the tech confirmed that the problems I had with auto-update and SetupIP were bugs in HP1. Like Joe, he recommended I download 8.02 beta and redo the setupIP and let the users get the new client as well. (It runs fine against 8.01 agents)
