Ever had to check the sync status between GW and eDir? Here’s a little note, taken from a post in the NGW List:
There are technically four ways that information can be synced between GW and eDIr.
- When using C1 AND connected to GroupWIse Domain via GW snapins, changes made are synced as they are saved
- When using C1 to initiate a manual sync between eDir and GW, which you would want to do if changes were made when not connected to GW domain
- When the scheduled event runs on an MTA that is properly setup through GroupWise System Operations->eDirectory User Synchronization
